Town of Sharon Zoning Lawb. Any required off-street parking, service area and other requirements of the useshall be satisfactory to the Joint Planning Board.5. Public Utility or Service Structure, Use: Public utility uses and/or structures, asdefined in Article VII to this Local Law, subject to the following:a. Such facility or installation shall not be located on a residential street, unlessno other site is available, and shall be so located as to draw a minimum ofvehicular traffic to and through such streets.b. The location, design and operation of such facility shall not adversely affectthe character of the surrounding residential area.c. Any required off-street parking, service area and other requirements of the useshall be satisfactory to the Board.d. Adequate fences, barriers and other safety devices shall be provided, and thefacility shall be screen planted in accordance with the needs of the instantsituation as determined by the Board.6. Eating, Drinking Establishment: In addition to meeting the minimum yard and lotcoverage requirements, such businesses shall be subject to the following regulations:a. Such use shall have adequate frontage on a public roadway.b. Ingress and egress shall be so designed as to minimize traffic congestion, andfor this purpose, the number and location of driveways shall be subject to theexplicit approval of the Joint Joint Planning Board.c. Such use shall be adequately fenced and screened from any adjacentresidential property and lighting shall be directed away from adjacent propertyand the highway.7. Gasoline Station, Service Garage: In addition to meeting the minimum yard andlot coverage requirements, any such establishment shall be subject to the followingregulations:a. Such establishment shall not be closer than two hundred (200) feet to anyexisting residential use.b. The minimum distance between pump islands and between the building andany pump islands shall be twenty (20) feet.c. No waste water, oil or other materials shall drain onto, pollute or createhazardous or unsightly conditions because of surface drainage.41
