OptionsThis section will allow you to assign the Zone “attributes”.Alarm Verification If this option is ENABLED, Alarmwill be verified as follows: the system will not generate a Control panel Alarmwhen the Zone first detects Alarm conditions; the system will reset the Zone and start the AlarmVerification Time (refer to “Panel settings”); if the Zone triggers another Alarm while the AlarmVerification Time is running, the system will generatea Control panel Alarm.Bypass missing detectors If the Zone is wired tobypass missing detectors, this option MUST BE ENABLED.NON-Silenceable R Output If this option isENABLED, the Repeat Output of the Zone concerned([Rn] terminal) CANNOT be Silenced.Pre-Alarm on R Output If this option is ENABLED, theControl panel will activate the Repeat Output of the Zoneconcerned ([Rn] terminal) during the Pre-Alarm phase.Test zone on NACs If this option is ENABLED, theControl panel will activate the NAC1 and NAC2 Outputsfor 1 second when the Zone is undergoes testing.Call point Priority If this option is ENABLED, the Controlpanel will generate an instant Alarm when the ZoneCall-point button is pressed.Gas Detector If this option is ENABLED, it will be possibleto connect a 4 - 20 mA Gas Detector to the Zone terminal.The Gas Detector option can be ENABLED ONLYfor Zones 1, 9 and 17, respectively, the [Z1] terminalson the Main Board, and on Expander nr. 1 andExpander nr. 2. TimesPre-Alarm Time This field will allow you to program thedelay between the Zone Alarm and the Control panel Alarm.If several Zones trigger Alarms within seconds ofone another, the Control panel will generate anAlarm when the shortest Pre-Alarm Time of all theZones concerned expires.Accepted values: 0 to 300 seconds (5 minutes), in stepsof 10 seconds.Default setting: 60 seconds.Investigation Time This field wilI allow you to programan “interval” that will override the Pre-Alarm Time. This“interval” will allow users time to investigate fire alerts.It will be applied when the Ack/Evac. key is pressed forless than 5 seconds at Access Level 2 (KeyswitchENABLED or PIN Code entered).Accepted values: 0 to 300 seconds (5 minutes), in stepsof 10 secondsDefault value: 60 seconds.OutputsThe Outputs page controls the pulse pattern forPre-Alarm (Alert) and/or Alarm (Evacuate) signalling onthe NAC1 and NAC2 outputs, and Alarm (Evacuate) signallingon the ALARM output.The pattern is represented by a series of bells, each bellrepresenting a second.The configuration of the RED and WHITE backgrounds(for On and Off respectively e.g. all RED indicates continuouslyOn) determines the respective pulse pattern.For example, the output devices (connected toNAC1and NAC2) can be configured to have one audibleoutput for Pre-Alarm (Alert) and a different audibleoutput for Alarm (Evacuate), thus allowing users to distinguishbetween the two conditions, as follows. NAC1 OutputPre-Alarm pattern The bell chart will allow you to programthe Pre-Alarm (Alert) pattern of NAC1.Bell on RED background = Output ON for 1 second;Crossed Bell on WHITE background = Output OFF for 1second.Pre-Alarm Default setting: NAC1 will turn ON for 2 secondsthen turn OFF for 6 seconds.Alarm pattern To be set up in the same way as thePre-Alarm pattern of NAC1 but for the Alarm pattern.Default setting: NAC1 is continuous.
