Promoting Green Power in Canada Pollution ProbeNovember 2002It is with great pleasure that Pollution Probe brings you this report on Promoting Green Power inCanada. At this critical point in the debate about ratifying the Kyoto Protocol, it is essential thatthe public understand the solutions that can be implemented to reduce our emissions ofgreenhouse gases and to lessen the impact that electricity generation has on environmentalquality in general.This report contains an in-depth review of green power policies in jurisdictions outside Canada. Itdocuments the successes and failures of green power marketing and incentives, and explores theimplications for Canada of undertaking similar initiatives here.
