Promote the aesthetic quality of the <strong>Township</strong> as an aspect of the health, safety, andgeneral welfare of the <strong>Township</strong>.504.2 DefinitionsThe purpose of this section is to provide clear, concise definitions of the terms,words, and phrases commonly utilized in the provisions of these regulations in orderto assist any interpretations of said provisions and to insure uniformity of application.The following definitions are intended to supplement the definitions contained inArticle XVII, Definitions.a.) Co-Location: The use of a single mount by more than one carrier and/or severalmounts on an existing building by more than one carrier. Clustering communicationstowers and antennas or locating one mount directly next to one another will not beconsidered co-location by this definition.b.) Communications Antenna: Any device used for the transmission or reception ofradio, television, wireless telephone, pager, commercial mobile radio service or anyother wireless communications signals, including without limitation omnidirectionalor whip antennas, owned or operated by any person or entity licensed by the FederalCommunications Commission (FCC) to operate such device. This definition shall notinclude private residence-mounted satellite dishes, television antennas, or amateurradio equipment including without limitation ham or citizen band radio antennas.c.) Communications Equipment Building: An unmanned building or cabinetcontaining communications equipment required for the operation of CommunicationsAntennas.d.) Height of a Telecommunications Tower: The vertical distance measured from theground level to the highest point on a Telecommunications Tower, including antennason the tower.e.) Prime Agricultural Land: Land used for agricultural purposes that contains soils ofthe first, second, or third class as defined by the United States Department ofAgriculture natural resource and conservation services county soil survey.f.) Telecommunications Tower: A structure other than a building, such as a monopole,self-supporting, lattice or guyed tower, designed and used to support CommunicationsAntennas, which shall not exceed two hundred (200) feet in height.22
