902.5: FencesExcept as provided in the next paragraph, the yard requirements of this ordinance shall notbe deemed to prohibit any otherwise lawful fence or wall, provided that in any ResidentialDistrict no fence or wall shall exceed four (4) feet in any front yard nor eight (8) feet inheight in any side or rear yard. No fence shall be erected within the street right-of-way.Fences shall be erected one (1) foot from side or rear property lines, except in cases whereadjacent property owners mutually agree to erect a fence in common. Said fence may belocated on the property line in side or rear yards.902.6: Visibility at IntersectionsOn a corner lot in any District, no structure, sign, fence, wall, hedge or other planting shallbe erected, placed or maintained at a height of more than thirty (30) inches above thehorizontal plane of the street surface within the triangle formed by the street lines and astraight line joining said street lines at points which are thirty (30) feet distant from thepoint of intersection.902.7: General Fence Provisions(1) These regulations shall not apply to fences erected on public recreational areas,school grounds and in industrial districts.(2) In the “R-1" Agricultural/Residential District where fencing is required for thecontainment of livestock or protection of crops being raised on a farm as defined inthis ordinance, these regulations shall not apply, except that in no case shall any fenceerected create a visibility hazard along driveways or intersections if the property is acorner lot.Section 903: Mineral Excavation Regulations903.1: GeneralExcavation of sand, gravel, coal, oil, natural gas or other minerals from the ground may bepermitted in any <strong>Zoning</strong> district only as a conditional use upon application to and approvalby the <strong>Otter</strong> <strong>Creek</strong> <strong>Township</strong> Board of Supervisors, after referral to the <strong>Otter</strong> <strong>Creek</strong><strong>Township</strong> Planning Commission for review and recommendations. Conditional approvaland these regulations do not apply where such excavation activities are to be conductedentirely as a non-commercial accessory or subordinate use to a principal use permitted bythe <strong>Zoning</strong> District.65
