ARTICLE XIIIAMENDMENT, SUPPLEMENT OR CHANGESection 1300:Procedure for AmendmentsThe <strong>Zoning</strong> <strong>Ordinance</strong> or parts thereof may be amended or repealed by the Board ofSupervisors in accordance with provisions of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code(Act 247 of 1968, as amended) and with the following procedures:(1) Any amendment or repeal may be initiated by:(a)(b)(c)The <strong>Township</strong> Planning Commission.The Board of Supervisors.A notarized petition to the Board of Supervisors by the owner of the propertyinvolved or by a party having interest therein.(2) Proposed amendments shall be submitted to the Board of Supervisors at a regular orspecial meeting of the Board of Supervisors.(3) Before voting on the enactment of an amendment, the Board of Supervisors shall hold apublic hearing thereon in accordance with the requirements of the PennsylvaniaMunicipalities Planning Code (Act 247 of 1968, as amended). As required by thePlanning Code, the public shall be notified of the amendment and hearing, such noticeshall be posted on any affected tract of land, and the amendment shall be referred to the<strong>Township</strong> Planning Commission and <strong>Mercer</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Regional</strong> Planning Commission forreview.(4) An application for amendment shall be submitted in a form prescribed by the Board ofSupervisors containing the following minimum information:(a)(b)(c)Name, address, and phone number of the applicant or his agent.The applicant's legal interest in the affected property(ies).A map showing the location of the affected property(ies), the present and proposedzoning classification and boundaries, and a perimeter sketch of the affectedproperty(ies) showing dimensions and size.(5) Any application for amendment to the <strong>Zoning</strong> <strong>Ordinance</strong> shall be accompanied by areasonable fee in such amount as set by resolution of the Board of Supervisors.80
