Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors of <strong>Otter</strong> <strong>Creek</strong> <strong>Township</strong>, <strong>Mercer</strong> <strong>County</strong>,Pennsylvania.Boarding House (also rooming house). A building or portion thereof, arranged or used forsheltering and feeding for compensation more than five (5) and not more than twenty (20)individuals who are not members of the proprietor's family.Boarding Unit. Living quarters that, unlike a Dwelling Unit, do not contain completehousekeeping facilities and are typically used for sheltering and feeding paying occupantswho are not members of the proprietor's family.Breezeway. Any portion of a lot roofed over by a structure joining a principal dwelling toany other structure.Building. An enclosed structure built, erected, and framed of component structural parts,designed for the housing, shelter, enclosure, and protection of persons, animals, or property ofany kind, including mobile homes.Building, Accessory. A detached, subordinate building, the use of which is customarilyincidental and subordinate to that of the principal building, and which is located on the samelot as that occupied by the principal building.Building, Attached. A building where both side walls of all except the end structures areparty walls.Building, Detached. A building that has no party wall.Building, Principal. A building in which is conducted the principal use of the lot on which itis situated.Building Setback. The distance on a lot from the centerline of any road within which nobuilding or structure shall be placed, unless otherwise indicated in this <strong>Ordinance</strong>.Building Setback Line. A line on a lot that marks the building setback.Carport. A roofed structure providing space for the parking or storage of motor vehicles andenclosed on not more than three (3) sides.Cartway. That area of a street within which vehicles are permitted including travel lanes andparking areas but not including shoulders, curbs, sidewalks or swales.Centerline. The line located at the middle of the traveled surface of a road, equidistant fromboth edges of the road surface.84
