CHAPTER 5MHA, are especially meant to upgrade the<strong>in</strong>frastructure of the state police forces <strong>in</strong>order to improve their capabilities to meetthe emerg<strong>in</strong>g challenges to <strong>in</strong>ternal security <strong>in</strong>the form of terrorism, extremism, naxalism etcbesides improv<strong>in</strong>g efficiency and effectivenessof police <strong>in</strong> general.
