5-13 COOLING SYSTEM● Remove the E-ring 1from the impeller shaft.1● Remove the impeller 2from the other side.2● Remove the bearing.NOTEIf there is no abnormal noise, bearing removal isnot necessary.◉ INSPECTION▣ BEARINGInspect the play of the bearing by hand while it is inthe water pump case.Rotate the inner race by hand to inspect abnormalnoise and smooth rotation.Replace the bearing if there is anything unusual.
COOLING SYSTEM 5-14▣ BEARING CASEVisually inspect the bearing case for damage.Replace the water pump body if necessary.▣ IMPELLERVisually inspect the impeller and its shaft for damage.◉ REASSEMBLY AND INSTAL-LATIONInstall the water pump in the reverse order ofremoval.Pay attention to the following points :● Install the bearing.● Apply SUPER GREASE “A”to the impeller shaft.SUPER GREASE “A”● Install the impeller to the water pump body.
