3-27 ENGINE▣ CAMSHAFT JOURNAL WEARDetermine whether or not each journal is worn downto the limit by measuring the oil clearance with thecamshaft installed in place.● Use the plastigauge to read the clearance at thewidest portion, which is specified as follows :Camshaft journaloil clearance(IN & EX)Service limit0.15 mm (0.006 in)If the camshaft journal oil clearance exceeds the servicelimit, measure the inside diameter of thecamshaft housing and outside diameter of thecamshaft journal.
