7-49 CHASSIS◉ MASTER CYLINDER REMOVALAND DISASSEMBLY● Drain the brake fluid. (Refer to page 7-43)● Place a rag underneath the brake hose union bolton the master cylinder to catch any split brakefluid.Remove the brake hose union bolt 1 and disconnectthe brake hose 2 .168CAUTIONImmediately wipe off any brake fluid contactingany part of the vehicle. The brake fluid reactschemically with paint, plastics, rubber materials,etc., and will damage them severely.● Remove the rear master cylinder pin 3 .● Loosen the master cylinder rod lock nut 4 .● Turn the adjuster 5 .● Remove the master cylinder mounting bolt 6 .● Remove the master cylinder by turning the mastercylinder rod 7 .7452● Disconnect the reservoir tank hose 8 .3◉ MASTER CYLINDER INSPECTION☞ Refer to page 7-20◉ PRESSURE CONTROL VALVEREMOVAL● Drain the brake fluid.● Place a rag underneath the brake hose union bolton the pressure control valve to catch any splitbrake fluid.Remove the brake hose union bolts and disconnectthe brake hoses.◉ PRESSURE CONTROL VALVEREASSEMBLYReassemble the pressure control valve in the reverseorder of removal.
