• Coordinate data procurement <strong>to</strong> take
advantage of economies of scale
• Develop a consensus on data policy needs
for agriculture and design a strategy <strong>to</strong>
negotiate liberal data policies
• Influence existing and new <strong>SAR</strong> sensor
development by documenting the
requirements of the agriculture community
with respect <strong>to</strong>:
� Spatial resolution
� Spatial coverage
� Temporal revisit/re-look
� Data latency/delivery
� <strong>SAR</strong> sensor parameters (frequency,
polarizations, angles)
• Encourage international space agencies <strong>to</strong>
consider data exchanges <strong>to</strong> meet the needs
of the agriculture community
• Document best practices or approaches <strong>to</strong>
designing area sample frameworks, data
pre-processing and processing, methods
and accuracy assessments related <strong>to</strong> <strong>SAR</strong>
and agriculture
• Create an international team <strong>to</strong> assess
interoperability among sensors and <strong>to</strong>
design approaches <strong>to</strong> inter-calibrate among
sensors
• Encourage the creation of <strong>SAR</strong> satellite
constellations <strong>to</strong> improve data continuity,
revisit, provide consistency and prevent
redundancy
