oNational School Lunch and Breakfast Program State Claim Report - Theprogram has been updated to check the student's calendar to see if thestudent withdrew before the first day of school. Also, other modificationshave been made so the report runs faster. Wisconsin (Student) –o Food Service\Print Application Letters - When the Letter Sent field is setto No, an option to "Only Send Free Letters if Eligibility Changed" willdisplay. This option will work only when "Only Print Most RecentApplication for Payor" is selected.For the current food service school year, if the previous application wasFree, the application will not print due to DPI's and the state'sconfirmation that letters don't have to be resent if the Free eligibilityremains. Previously, if the customer did not have any other applicationrecord for the year, the Print Application Letters option was not printingthe application. The check was updated for Free applications so that ifthe customer did not have any other Transaction records for the year,the Application will print. This was occurring in cases where there weremultiple customers in a family whose lunch codes were different but thenbecame the same.o SkyBuild - When running the eSped import, the programs/relatedservices are now being created or updated correctly for all students.Federal Reporting (Business):oFederal Tax Tables - The 2014 federal tax tables are now available alongwith the updated FICA wage base increase.When you are ready to run your first 2014 payroll, you must run theUpdate Tax Table process in order to activate the tables.o 1099M Processing - 1099M Processing has been updated for the 2013tax year.o W2 and 1099R Processing –• The following updates have been implemented for W2 and 1099Rprocessing for 2013:- updated W2/1099R print files, W2/1099R forms forprinting, and electronic files.- updated EIC info on W2 Information Statement.- added validation of contact email in W2 processing.- added validation of federal ID in 1099R processing.- updated multi-line addresses to display and print correctly.• Additional retirement options have been added to determine howthe Retirement checkbox is selected when the W2 Workfile iscreated.• A final review screen has been added to the process of submittingyour files to Skyward. The screen displays totals for the data thatis contained in the files that you're submitting. The totals shouldbe verified before sending the files to Skyward for printing.• After the deadline to choose a W2 printing preference inEmployee Access, the employee can no longer change his/her W2selection. HR has the capability to change that employee's W2from Electronic to paper if the employee requests it.• Users are now able to view and add inactive states in theselection browses for W2s and 1099Rs. This does not affect anyother area of the software.
Federal Reporting (Student):o Special Education - The Reevaluation Waived Date has been added inEvaluation information for these states: ID, IL, KS, MI, MN, NM, SD, TN,TX, and WI.Business Management:o Accounts Payable• Approve Invoices - An issue that occurred when approvinginvoices generated from Credit Card transactions has beencorrected.• Credit Cards - Previously, the credit card build invoices processsometimes produced multiple invoices. The invoice break by fundhas been corrected, and the credit card transactions againproduce a single invoice.o Employee Access\Time Off - The detail section in Time Off Approvals willnow display the detail data for the selected Time Off Request.o Payroll Tables - The 2014 tax tables for every state are now available.The following states posted changes, which are included in thisaddendum: Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, New Mexico, and New York.When you are ready to run your first 2014 payroll, you must run theYear-End Tax Table Update process in order to activate the tables.Student Management:o Attendance –• Attendance Letters\Date Ranges - The validation check to notallow existing terms is no longer sensitive to case.• Attendance Letters\Schedule Letters - The scheduled task nolonger disappears from the screen after making changes inSystem Administration.• Entry by Student - Comments are now cleared when the useradds subsequent attendance records with different dates.oCurriculum and Assessment\Test Scores - A new test layout was createdfor NWEA Reading. The new layout has the Lexile column listed asCharacter rather than Integer. The test import layout will be updated ina future addendum.o Educator Access Plus\Gradebook\Percent Attendance by Teacher -Dropped Students without drop transactions are no longer included inthe report. Term-adjusted students are not included in the report if theywere not in the class on the dates for which the report is being run.Report performance was improved by reducing the number of databasetable reads.o Educator Access Plus\Teacher Access –• My Classes\Test Scores - The Test Entry screen now loads fastereven with a large number of sections.• My Classes\Test Scores – The test score validation routine waspreviously very inefficient resulting in long load times for largetests. This has been enhanced to run much faster.• My Gradebook\Secondary Gradebook – The Class Grades sectionof the Multi-Class Progress Report is now displayed correctlywhen using the CAS/DAS printing option.oEntity Counts - The Entity Counts report uses the most recentEntry/Withdrawal records to obtain accurate Student Type counts.o Food Service –• Payor/Customer Maintenance\Family/Household - The FamilyHousehold guardian query has been updated.
