agent.setup.agentIPDescriptionThis specifies the IP address that the vFabric Hyperic Server will use to contact the vFabricHyperic Agent. If the agent is on the same host as the server, value of 127.0.0.1 is valid. If there is a firewall between the server and agent, specify the IP address of the firewall, and configure the firewall to forward traffic intended for the agent to the agent's listenaddress, which can be configured with agent.listenIP.The agent reads this value only in the event that it cannot find connection configuration inits data directory. Specifying this and other agent.setup.* properties is a way toreduce the user interaction required to configure an agent to communicate with the server.DefaultAs installed, agent.properties contains a commented out statement that sets thevalue to default. If you use the agent.setup.* properties to supply an agent'sconfiguration at first startup, and uncomment this property and leave the value default, the vFabric Hyperic Server will contact the agent using the IP address that SIGAR detectson the agent host.agent.setup.agentPortDescriptionThis specifies the port (on the IP address configured with agent.setup.agentIP) on thevFabric Hyperic Agent on which the vFabric Hyperic Server will communicate with theagent. If there is a firewall between the agent and the server, set agent.setup.agentPort tothe appropriate port on the firewall, and configure the firewall to forward traffic intended forthe agent to the agent listen port, which can be configured with. The agent reads this value only in the event that it cannot find its connection configurationin its data directory. Specifying this and other agent.setup.* properties is a way toreduce the user interaction required to configure an agent to communicate with the server.DefaultAs installed, agent.properties contains a commented out statement that sets thevalue to *default*. If you use the agent.setup.* properties to supply an agent'sconfiguration at first startup, and uncomment this property and leave the value *default*,the vFabric Hyperic Server will contact the agent on port 2144, unless SIGAR detects it isnot available, in which case another default is selected.74
