Promote a variety <strong>of</strong> recreation opportunities for<strong>Lawrenceville</strong> residents, while working with GwinnettCounty to <strong>of</strong>fer compatible activities.• Work with Gwinnett County to link greenspaces into anetwork <strong>of</strong> greenways, set aside for pedestrian andbicycle connections between schools, churches,recreation areas, residential neighborhoods andcommercial areas.2.3.11 Gateway NodesGeneral Description and Boundary AreaGateway Nodes should include attractively landscaped areaswith signage, streetlights, monuments, site furnishings, andother features at appropriate <strong>City</strong> access points thatcommunicate a message <strong>of</strong> welcome and conveyinformation about the <strong>City</strong>’s resources to residents andvisitors alike.As indicated on the Future Development Map, there are nine(9) identifiable gateway nodes around <strong>Lawrenceville</strong>. Thesegateway nodes are mostly located at crossroad intersectionsalong the <strong>City</strong> Limits. These gateway nodes are identifiedas follows:• Old Norcross Road at Riverside Parkway• Collins Hill Road at the GGC entrance• SR20 at Swanson Drive• Winder Hwy. (US29) at Hosea Road• New Hope Road at Simonton road• Grayson Hwy. (SR20) at Sugarloaf Parkway• Scenic Hwy. (SR124) at Sugarloaf Parkway• Five Forks Trickum Road at Sugarloaf Parkway• <strong>Lawrenceville</strong> Hwy.
