Provide safe and adequate pedestrian and bicycleaccess from nearby areas to commercial and<strong>of</strong>fice uses in the downtown area. On a limited basis, encourage residential useswithin the downtown area. Promote highquality landscape design along thecorridors leading into the downtown area. Promote the development <strong>of</strong> the commercial andresidential areas adjacent to the CSX tracksaround Clayton Street as an entertainment andcultural arts destination.Maximize the attractive character <strong>of</strong> <strong>Lawrenceville</strong>by establishing aesthetically pleasing gateways andcorridors into the <strong>City</strong>. Utilize open space, pocket parks, and otherbuffers to minimize adverse impact <strong>of</strong> noise andvibration generated by vehicular traffic. Improve the aesthetic quality <strong>of</strong> land uses alonggateways and corridors into the <strong>City</strong> with lighting,landscaping and signage improvements.
