Chapter 2 - Getting Started With Alibre DesignEach workspace type (part, assembly, sheet metal, drawing) has a corresponding introductorytutorial. By default, whenever you create a new workspace, the corresponding introductory tutorial isalso displayed. This behavior can be changed see "System Options" on page 16.In addition, all of the tutorials are accessible from the Tutorials tab in the Home Window.We strongly recommend that you work through these included tutorials. Working through them willgive you a good understanding of the basic modeling terms and concepts used in Alibre Design.You will also become familiar with 3D viewing techniques in Alibre Design.Figure 1: Alibre Design Home Window - Tutorials TabAlibre, Inc will periodically release new tutorials and make these available in the Tutorials tab.When working online you can check for newly posted material by clicking the Check for updatesbutton. When new tutorials are available, they can be downloaded to your computer andsubsequently accessed while offline.Note: To download new material when you see [New] or [Outdated] next to the title of a tutorial,right-click on the title and choose Download.12
