The detail view is updated automatically toreflect the change in size of the detail area.12.5.4 Section ViewA section view represents a 2D cross-section of a model. Section views are created from otherviews and are dependent on them. You can create a normal section view or a stepped section view.‣ To create a normal section view:1. Sketch a straight line across the view to define the section location. Make sure you aresketching in the view by selecting the view in the Design Explorer before entering Sketch Mode.2. Select the Section View tool from the Detailing toolbar; or from the Insert menu selectSection View.3. Select the line that you sketched in step 1. A preview of the section view appears in thedrawing.4. Drag the section view preview to the appropriate location on the sheet. You will only be able tomove the view in a direction normal to the section line.356
