It can be introduced through:• mime or flashcards• the opening pages of each unit (where the new words/language items are illustrated in theright hand column).• the poster for the unit. The wall posters contain individual illustrations of the new words ineach unit. The illustrations are then included in the main picture. Wall Poster: Toys.Planning headOne lesson before the Busy Bee Activity on page 41, ask the children to collect and bring theitems that will be needed.Ex. 1Teach the names of the various toys.Ask the children to put up their hands if they have got the toys.Ask the children what their favourite toys are. Make a note of the toys mentioned.Find out the names of these toys in English as they will be needed before the end ofthe unit.First listeningAsk the children to listen to the names of the toys on the right hand side of the page.
