This figureis a significant change on previous years and reflects the currentnational and local economic problems. Six Section 106 Agreements havebeen agreed during 2009/10, they secured education provision andrecreational open space. MHDLP Policy DS16 requires theconsideration of planning obligations against defined criteria. Thepolicy is supported by the Developer Contributions and PlanningObligations Supplementary Planning Document.LOCAL INDICATOR 5: MIX OF SIZES OF HOUSINGTargets and Objectives1.8 Meeting the housing requirements of the District through the provisionof a range of dwelling types, sizes, densities and tenures. This includesgeneral market and affordable housing in a way which protects theenvironment and makes the most effective use of existing settlementpatterns.Results and Analysis1.9 During 2009/10 there was a fairly even spread of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedproperty completions (figure 24). There has been a noticeableimprovement in the number of 3 and 4 bed properties being delivered.This improvement can be partially attributed to Malvern Vale andparticularly its moves from phase one (dominated by 1 and 2 beddwellings) to phase 3, 4 and 5 which have a more even spread of 2, 3and 4 bed dwellings.
