Areas of nationalimportance for their landscape value within which the conservation andenhancement of natural beauty is most important.Best Value Performance Indicators (BVPI)BVPIs provide Local Authorities with a way of measuring their performance inorder to know how well they are doing as well as to help identify opportunitiesfor improvement.Community StrategyLocal Authorities are required by the Local Government Act 2000 to preparethese to help improve the social, economic and environmental wellbeing ofareas.Conservation Area A specifically defined and protected environmental areain view of its special architectural or historic interest.
