Partnership with families6. Provides scheduled progress reports <strong>for</strong> each child.7. Adopts policies to address in<strong>for</strong>mation sharing with non-custodial parents.8. Arranges <strong>for</strong> staff members to initiate other means <strong>of</strong> communication withparents who do not attend conferences/meetings or do not respond toteacher-initiated communications.9. Requires program staff to collaborate with parents/family members in thedesign <strong>of</strong> appropriate assessment and/or intervention plans at an earlystage when a child is having difficulty with behavior, social interactions,transitioning and/or with developmental/learning progress.10. Is designed and arranged so that families feel welcome and respectedincluding practices and materials that reflect the diversity <strong>of</strong> the familiesserved.11. Program Standard: Families have multiple opportunities to participatein the child’s classroom program as they prefer and are able to do so.A <strong>Quality</strong> Program:1. Provides family members the opportunity to become familiar with theprogram and the staff <strong>of</strong> the child’s particular classroom prior to the start<strong>of</strong> the child’s participation in the program.2. Arranges opportunities <strong>for</strong> family members to share their culture, familytraditions, and special skills and interests.3.
