Provides for family participation and support keeping in mind therequirements of the sponsoring agency or legislation.2. Arranges for family members to have access to family education,enrichment, or family support group programs and activities provided bythe program or through referral to community agencies.3. Assures that family education opportunities include all domains ofdevelopment (e.g., how to support children’s learning, support for positiveguidance techniques, good health and nutrition practices, includingphysical fitness and obesity reduction).4. Provides or has access to a family resource space that includes a lendinglibrary of educational toys, games, and materials for children and familiesand materials, information, and resources designed to improve the qualityof family life and/or support children’s learning and development in thehome setting.4. Program Standard: The program’s policies and practices promotesupport and respect for the home language, culture, and familycomposition of each child in ways that support the child’s health,learning, and social-emotional well-being.A Quality Program:1. Supports staff in learning key words from the child’s home language andtheir English equivalents.2. Provides books and materials that reflect families’ home languages andculture, as well as that of others in the community.3.
