Uses a combination <strong>of</strong> methods to share in<strong>for</strong>mation about children’sprogress and challenges at <strong>for</strong>mal and in<strong>for</strong>mal parent/teacherconferences (e.g., work samples, anecdotal records, photos, narrativereports).4. Arranges to share in<strong>for</strong>mation about children’s progress with noncustodialparents.5. Uses newsletters and Web pages to convey in<strong>for</strong>mation about theprogram’s activities and projects that support children’s learning andgrowth (e.g., descriptions <strong>of</strong> assessments used).3. Program Standard: The program uses appropriate assessment tools tohelp identify children who may require additional specialized programsand interventions.A <strong>Quality</strong> Program:1. Uses valid and reliable screening tools and procedures to determinewhether children require further evaluation.2. In<strong>for</strong>ms parents <strong>of</strong> the types and purposes <strong>of</strong> the screening in advance<strong>of</strong> the screening, the results <strong>of</strong> those screenings, and the purposes andresults <strong>of</strong> subsequent evaluations.3.
