This course is for you if you wish<br />

to develop basic photography skills<br />

and an underpinning knowledge of<br />

photographic processes.<br />

The course is suitable for applicants<br />

who have not studied photography<br />

before and who seek to improve<br />

their skills for personal enjoyment.<br />

It is also intended as a first step for<br />

applicants who may wish to study at<br />

more advanced levels in the future.<br />

The course focuses on Digital<br />

Photographic practice and you<br />

will have the opportunity to work<br />

on both studio and location-based<br />

work.<br />

You will also learn basic image<br />

manipulation techniques.<br />

This course is for you if you have<br />

an interest in creative activities<br />

involving art, design and media.<br />

You will build a portfolio of work<br />

over the year, developing your skills<br />

in traditional drawing, painting,<br />

modelling, and also making digital<br />

art using Photoshop, Illustrator,<br />

and interactive media software.<br />

Additionally, you will produce video<br />

projects and photographic work.<br />

The course is designed to help you<br />

to get a job in a variety of artistic<br />

& creative industries, but our<br />

successful students usually continue<br />

within the College and progress to<br />

a Level 2 course in their preferred<br />

creative subject area.<br />

This can lead to a degree course at<br />

university.<br />

Opportunity is provided to study for<br />

a qualification in English and Maths.<br />

The UAL Level 2 Diploma in Creative<br />

Media Production & Technology is a<br />

one year or 12 weeks work-related<br />

course. You learn by completing<br />

practical projects that are based<br />

on realistic workplace situations,<br />

activities and demands, as well as<br />

completing some theory-based<br />

assignments. Practical specialisms<br />

covered include Video Production,<br />

Digital Photography and Web<br />

Design.<br />

This course is designed to provide<br />

you with an introduction to both<br />

the creative and technical aspects<br />

of creative media production and<br />

to develop the required skills,<br />

knowledge and understanding to<br />

progress to further education and<br />

employment within the creative<br />

industries.<br />

Students completing the course<br />

with a Merit or Distinction grade<br />

can progress to either the L3<br />

Extended Diploma in Creative Media<br />

Production & Technology, the A<br />

Level programme or employment<br />

within relevant creative media<br />

industries.<br />

Opportunity is provided to study for<br />

a qualification in English and Maths.<br />
