This course is ideal to those who are<br />

considering a career in the Building<br />

Industry to become an advanced<br />

Bricklayer. The course is a mixture of<br />

theory and practical sessions.<br />

You will be working with a team of<br />

Bricklaying tutors who have vast<br />

amount of up to date industrial and<br />

teaching experience.<br />

We have excellent facilities and<br />

up to date teaching and learning<br />

resources. We strive on delivering<br />

our learners, employers and other<br />

The units covered on the course<br />

include:<br />

• Constructing radial and battered<br />

brickwork<br />

• Carrying out decorative and<br />

reinforced brickwork<br />

• Constructing fireplaces and<br />

chimneys<br />

• Repair and maintain masonry<br />

structures<br />

• Health, safety and welfare in<br />

construction<br />

This course is ideal to those who are<br />

plasterer. The course is a mixture of<br />

• Running in‐situ moulds<br />

Optional Group A Units:<br />

• Applying plastering materials to<br />

detailed exteriors<br />

• Applying plastering materials to<br />

detailed interiors<br />

You will learn, develop and practise<br />

the skills required for employment<br />

and/or career progression in Site<br />

Carpentry.<br />

• Carry out first fix flooring and<br />

roofing<br />

• Carry out second fixing operations<br />

• Set up and use fixed and<br />

transportable machinery face<br />
