Certiorari—Summary Dispositions<br />

No. 14–1422. The First Marblehead Corporation, et al., Petitioners<br />

v. Massachusetts Commissioner of Revenue. On petition for writ of<br />

certiorari to the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts. Petition for<br />

writ of certiorari granted. Judgment vacated, and case remanded to<br />

the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts for further consideration<br />

in light of Comptroller of Treasury of Md. v. Wynne, 576 U. S. –––<br />

(2015).<br />

No. 15–5330. Richard Wally Rose, Petitioner v. United States. On<br />

petition for writ of certiorari to the United States Court of Appeals for<br />

the Eleventh Circuit. Motion of petitioner for leave to proceed in forma<br />

pauperis and petition for writ of certiorari granted. Judgment vacated,<br />

and case remanded to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh<br />

Circuit for further consideration in light of Johnson v. United<br />

States, 576 U. S. ––– (2015).<br />

No. 15–5601. Patrick A. Missud, Petitioner v. Court of Appeals of<br />

California, First Appellate District, et al. Petition for writ of certiorari<br />

to the Supreme Court of California. Because the Court lacks a quorum,<br />

28 U. S. C. § 1, and since the only qualified Justices are of the opinion<br />

that the case cannot be heard and determined at the next Term of the<br />

Court, the judgment is affirmed under 28 U. S. C. § 2109, which provides<br />

that under these circumstances “the court shall enter its order<br />

affirming the judgment of the court from which the case was brought<br />

for review with the same effect as upon affirmance by an equally divided<br />

court.” The Chief Justice, Justice Scalia, Justice Kennedy, Justice<br />

Thomas, and Justice Alito took no part in the consideration or decision<br />

of this petition.<br />

No. 15–5654. Bacari McCarthren, Petitioner v. United States. On<br />

petition for writ of certiorari to the United States Court of Appeals for<br />

the Eleventh Circuit. Motion of petitioner for leave to proceed in forma
