Certiorari – Summary Disposition<br />

No. 15–7091. Bart Wayne Johnson, Petitioner v. Alabama. Petition<br />

for rehearing granted. The order entered January 11, 2016, denying<br />

the petition for a writ of certiorari is vacated. The motion of petitioner<br />

for leave to proceed in forma pauperis and the petition for a writ of<br />

certiorari are granted. The judgment is vacated, and the case is remanded<br />

to the Alabama Supreme Court for further consideration in<br />

light of Hurst v. Florida, 577 U. S. ––– (2016).<br />

Orders in Pending Cases<br />

No. 15A1016. Montgomery Blair Sibley, Applicant v. United States<br />

District Court for the District of Columbia. Application for stay addressed<br />

to Justice Thomas and referred to the Court denied.<br />

to direct the Clerk to file a petition for a writ of certiorari out of<br />

time denied.<br />

No. 15–7719. Peter J. Laslie, Petitioner v. Chicago Transit Authority.<br />

Motion of petitioner for reconsideration of order denying leave to proceed<br />

in forma pauperis denied.<br />

No. 15–8360. Alva W. Fleming, Petitioner v. Florida. Motion of petitioner<br />

for leave to proceed in forma pauperis denied. Petitioner<br />

allowed until May 23, 2016, within which to pay the docketing fee required<br />

by Rule 38(a) and to submit a petition in compliance with Rule<br />

33.1 of the Rules of this Court.<br />

Certiorari Granted<br />

et al. Petition for writ of certiorari to the United States Court of Appeals<br />

for the Sixth Circuit granted limited to Question 1 presented by<br />

the petition.
