donated to Erskine to help care for their veterans,

Would you like to learn more about the birds you
see in your garden? Join the team for a workshop
session ideal for beginners to birdwatching to
help you learn more about common garden birds
and pick up tips and advice on wildlife watching
techniques. Then head out into the reserve to put
these new skills into practise. Afterwards enjoy a
hot drink back at the centre. Please book as places
are limited. Cost £5 adults (£3 for members), £3
children (£2 for Wildlife Explorers).

10K Run for Toys
Houston-Kilmacolm-Bridge of Weir
GVRC’s 10K run in aid of the new Toy Library
Project, over the same course from Houston
towards Kilmacolm and back via Bridge of Weir.
Gryffe Valley hopes that the run will kick-start
fundraising for this hugely significant project
and is looking for a great turnout of runners and
spectators on the day. Full details and entry forms
etc are available from the Gryffe Valley website
and facebook page and from local newsagents.
Don’t forget that there will be drinks and snacks
and a great social atmosphere for everyone at
the prizegiving afterwards in the Church Hall in
Houston.
