Gleddoch Ladies Golf Club
Gleddoch Ladies had their first competition of the year last weekend, a “fun”
competition over 12 holes. It was very much enjoyed by everyone especially as
the weather was fine. New captain June Lockhart has promised lots of fun golf
this season! The next competition, the Opening Stableford, will be a step up to
18 holes, on Sunday 22nd March.
The previous weekend, Gleddoch Ladies won their first round match in the Mail
on Sunday competition, by the narrowest possible margin, against the ladies
of Dumbarton Golf Club. Captain June led the team to victory with a win at
the first extra hole. The ladies are looking forward to the next round against
Ranfurly Castle, and also to meeting again teams from the other clubs in the
West Renfrewshire Evening League. They have also already started planning
for a Mixed Open Green somes
to be held on Sunday August
23rd with all proceeds going to
the Beatson Cancer Charity.
Gleddoch Ladies are a friendly
bunch and welcome visitors and
prospective new members. Our
Director of Golf, Kevin McAleer, is
