What a Journey!!!!

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” and it is with this
in mind that I wish to inform you of my decision to retire from the Wonderful
World of Travel and a business I started over 30 years ago with a card table,
a typewriter and the help of a good friend.
Travel a la Carte’s premises in Kilmacolm have been acquired by Barrhead
Travel. The business will continue to operate as part of their growing
presence in the Scottish travel industry as a managed franchise called
“Travel Actually”.
This joint approach, with Arlene Donald (who previously worked for Travel
a la Carte for 5 years) at the helm, will enable them to provide you with
the best possible prices, travel choices and the same level of personalised
service and attention to detail which we have always prided ourselves on
delivering.
All clients with current bookings will be transferred to them and be protected
by their ABTA and ATOL licence.
Sharron, who has worked tirelessly and loyally for Travel a la Carte for
the past 10 years, and prior to that with British Airways executive club,
will be retained in a full time role and will look forward to completing the
management of all current and future bookings.
I would like to express my personal gratitude and heartfelt thanks to all our
clients past and present who put their trust and confidence in our business
over the decades. It was a pleasure and a privilege to help you plan and
organise all your fantastic and exciting holidays to all corners of the globe.
So now for me one journey ends and a new one is about to start.
