Napoleon Hill once said, “ Persistence is to the character of man as carbon
is to steel.”
Th ere is one trait that will almost guarantee a person will succeed in
their quest for riches and that trait is persistence. People who develop
an attitude of, “I will never quit and would rather die than give up on my
goal,” have the right mindset to achieve phenomenal fi nancial success. To
be persistent, a person has to develop total self-belief.
And as Albert Bandura once wrote, “Self-belief does not necessarily ensure
success but self-disbelief assuredly spawns failure.”
It seems like it might be a good idea then to make it a habit to act
courageously when it is called upon.
When a person is following a proven strategy and they have total belief
in themselves, they automatically exercise courage and start to make
persistence a deeply ingrained habit.
The Winning Attitude
Having an, I will never, ever give up on my goal, type of attitude is going
to help you sail through the rough seas that come as part and parcel of
your journey. And unless an individual persists in the face of adversity,
they will be doomed to fail.
