The reason I decided to share how I turned $31,409 into $1.28
million over a 38 month period is two fold. Th e fi rst reason is
because people are naturally curious and simply want to know exactly
how I did it. Th e second reason is to introduce you to the timing system
that my clients and I use to trend invest. Trend investing helps you to
move into and out of the market at the right time.
Get in on Strength and Out on Weakness
Th is timing system, that allows you to get in on strength and out
on weakness, is not fl awless–but as you are about to discover, it has
managed to catch the start of every single bull (up) market in the last
50 years. 29 Amongst its many other triumphs, it also helped my clients
to protect and preserve their profi ts in the bear market that started in the
last quarter of 2007.
Let’s start the story with some brief background information.
An “F” in Maths
I was born in 1968. During my school years, I did poorly, leaving at age
sixteen with just one CSE grade one qualifi cation. In Maths I remember
getting an “F.”
Subsequently I said no to college and university and instead went to
work for my Dad as an apprentice painter and decorator. My weekly
wage was less than £50. Dad is a self-made man who started and built
a successful cleaning and maintenance business. In 1987, when I was
19, Dad started to teach me how a business worked. Th is was all part
of his grand plan of passing on the business to me. Over the next 10
years, I dug in and learned all I could about how to manage a successful
business.
In 1998, I was primed and ready to take the reigns. And I knew that if I
wanted to take the family business to the next level, I was going to need
some expert help.
