Becoming Liquid
First of all, when you have accumulated enough tax-free wealth to
allow you to retire rich, it means that you are liquid. When you are
liquid, it means you have substantial assets that can easily and quickly
be converted into cash. Th is means that you can access money quickly
should an emergency arise. Many property investors unfortunately do
not have this luxury as most of their wealth is tied up in bricks and
mortar.
As Gordon Gekko said in the 1987 blockbuster, Wall Street, “I’m talking
about liquid. Rich enough to have your own jet. Rich enough not to waste
time. Fifty, a hundred million dollars, buddy. A player.”
