Financial Freedom - To have accumulated an amount of money so large
that you are no longer infl uenced or controlled by others to sustain a “dream”
lifestyle.
To keep this nice and simple, Financial Independence equals a
comfortable lifestyle and Financial Freedom equals dream or ideal
lifestyle.
Th erefore, Financial Independence is a stepping stone towards Financial
Freedom.
Why So Many People Fail
Th e fi rst point to note is this. Even though many people are living a
comfortable lifestyle, it does not make them Financially Independent.
Why? Because these same people pay for their comfortable lifestyle with
money they earn from their boss or customers.
Th erefore some people mistakenly think that they are Financially
Independent. But by not understanding what Financial Independence
really is, they set themselves up for potential future fi nancial disaster.
If these same people decided to cash in their chips and sell all their assets,
there is not a chance that they would generate enough money to allow
them to live comfortably off the interest generated. It is therefore their
boss or customers who dictate whether they get paid or not. In other
words, their boss or customers have the power.
Financial Independence is when you are not reliant on anybody to live
your comfortable lifestyle. It means that if the Financially Independent
individual decided to cash in their chips from the sale of their assets,
they would have enough money to allow them to live comfortably off
the interest generated.
