The controller shall have a 12 VDC rechargeable battery and recharging circuit to<br />
compensate for power outages.<br />
The RTU shall have status indicator lights. These lights will indicate station operation, I/O<br />
and communications status and circuit integrity<br />
The controller shall be MOSCAD-ACE as manufactured by Motorola. Remote<br />
communications with existing telemetry system is by Motorola trunked radio, model number<br />
provided by DCR, no exceptions. The <strong>Florida</strong> reseller for this Motorola equipment is DCR<br />

The Reuse Control Panel shall be manufactured by a qualified control panel manufacturer<br />
with prior experience with this equipment and include all components required for a<br />
complete control system, even if not specifically called out in these <strong>standards</strong>. The panel<br />
shall bear the UL508 label.<br />
The contractor will be responsible for providing and installing the RCP.<br />
a) Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition<br />
The RCP shall utilize the county’s existing trunked radio system for remote control<br />
and data acquisition. The RCP will communicate with existing Field Interface Units<br />
(FIU) at the water plant which then processes the data and interfaces with the<br />
utilities Lift Station/IQ SCADA system software. The utility’s SCADA software is<br />
VTScada by Trihedral Engineering with custom graphical interface by DCR<br />
Engineering Services. Remote control commands and site programming<br />
configurations are accomplished using the graphical user interface screens of the<br />
SCADA software.<br />
The contractor will be responsible for required additions to the SCADA screens and<br />
databases to accommodate the new equipment.<br />
b) Setup and Field Testing<br />
The contractor installing the control system shall engage the equipment manufacturer’s<br />
representative to calibrate and field test the Reuse Control Panel, radio communications<br />
and SCADA modifications to insure proper communication link and control strategy<br />
between the <strong>Martin</strong> <strong>County</strong> SCADA computer terminal and the RCP via the trunked<br />
radio network.<br />
