The control valve shall be warranted, by the manufacturer, to be free from defects in<br />

material and workmanship for a period of three years from the date of shipment, provided<br />

the valve is installed and used in accordance with published instructions and application<br />

recommendations. Components supplied as part of the pilot control circuitry, but not<br />

manufactured by the valve manufacturer shall convey individual warranties; these<br />

warranties shall never be less than one year from date of assembled valve shipment. The<br />

valve manufacturer shall be capable of providing a complete cavitation profile to <strong>Martin</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong> for each subject valve installation. A factory-trained representative shall provide<br />

start-up and training services to <strong>Martin</strong> <strong>County</strong> at no charge. The control valve<br />

representative must be fully qualified for warranty and non-warranty service and not<br />

subcontract for these services.<br />

Valve shall be inch angle pattern, with 125/150 lb. Flanged ends. The valve shall be AMES<br />

Co., Inc., 4” and larger model 951/651 A-15-43-02-38-SS-2Pg, 3” and smaller model<br />

951/651 AD-15-43-02-38-2Pg as manufactured by AMES Co., Inc., Woodland CA 95776.<br />

Note: Select 951 full ported or 651 reduced port valve based on best match to flow<br />

requirements.<br />

Developer shall submit signed and sealed flow calculations from his Engineer of Record<br />

or Registered Landscape Architect complete with manufacturer’s data for review and<br />

approval by <strong>Martin</strong> <strong>County</strong> Utilities and Solid Waste.<br />
