The emission <strong>inven<strong>to</strong>ry</strong> basis for mobile sources is fuel use information<br />

from the <strong>Danish</strong> energy statistics. In addition, background data for road<br />

transport (fleet and mileage), air traffic (aircraft type, flight numbers,<br />

origin and destination airports) and non-road machinery (engine no.,<br />

engine size, load fac<strong>to</strong>r and annual working hours) are used <strong>to</strong> make<br />

the emission estimates sufficiently detailed. <strong>Emission</strong> data mainly<br />

comes from the EMEP/EEA Air Pollutant <strong>Emission</strong> Inven<strong>to</strong>ry Guidebook.<br />

However, for railways, measurements specific <strong>to</strong> Denmark are<br />

used.<br />

In the <strong>Danish</strong> emission database, all activity rates and emissions are defined<br />

in SNAP sec<strong>to</strong>r categories (Selected Nomenclature for Air Pollution),<br />

according <strong>to</strong> the CollectER system. The emission inven<strong>to</strong>ries are<br />

prepared from a complete emission database based on the SNAP sec<strong>to</strong>rs.<br />

The aggregation <strong>to</strong> the sec<strong>to</strong>r codes used for both the UNFCCC<br />

and <strong>UNECE</strong> Conventions is based on a correspondence list between<br />

SNAP and CFR/NFR classification codes shown in Table 3.20 below<br />

(mobile sources only).<br />
