pigeon expert suggest that treatment of choice for<br />
paratyphoid is Doxycycline 20% for a minimum of 21<br />
days but in severe cases of paratyphoid as long as 45<br />
days. Effective treatment of Ornithosis, mycoplasmosis<br />
and respiratory infections. Treatment is one teaspoon per gallon.<br />
Remove grit during treatment. Follow with 2-3 days of probiotics.<br />

AvioDox contains 5% Doxycycline of the highest purity. The<br />
5% formulation has been found to be most effective as well as most<br />
acceptable to pigeons when administered in drinking water. It is combined<br />
with the correct vitamins needed during extended antibiotic<br />
treatment. Treat all racing or flying pigeons for 10 continuous days<br />
at least 8 weeks before the flying season. Repeat treatment midway<br />
through flying season. Treatment must be extended to 20 days during<br />
outbreak of disease. Treat breeding pairs for 10 days at least 8<br />
weeks prior to the start of the breeding pigeons. Always combine<br />
with Avio-Bromhexine for the first 4 days of treatment. Contains<br />
Doxycycline hyclate 5% m/m, vitamins, dextrose qs 100% m/m. Mix<br />
(5 grams) one heaped teaspoon to one liter of fresh water daily for<br />
