time, will corrode the metal. Pigeons mate for life, but if one of
the pair is taken away or dies, the other will re-mate to another
bird very quickly. You may switch around eggs and babies at any
time. The babies need to be just about the same size and the eggs
no more than 1-2 days of the date laid. I mark all my eggs with a
sharpie, the day laid for just this reason.

There are just a few things that will cause a pigeon to vomit. The
first thing I would suspect is if you have recently wormed your birds
with a product such as Levimazole, don’t be concerned, the drug
will still do its job, but in the future, use Levimazole on an empty
stomach. Adeno Virus is another thing that will cause a pigeon to
vomit. Like most viruses, it is not treatable, it must run its course.
What you can do is switch to a feed such as Pigeon Candy or
Short Beak feed, they contain grains that are much easier digested.
Treating with an antibiotic during a bout of any virus, does not
treat the virus, but does treat secondary infections which are quite
common with a virus.
