False Eggs
False eggs are used for a number
of purposes. Pigeon fanciers use
them when they want to stop raising youngsters. They
remove the real eggs and replace them with the false
pigeon eggs. Pigeons do not know the difference and will sit on these
false eggs until past the normal hatching date. Pigeon fanciers also
will place under the pigeon when the hen stays in the nest bowl as
though they have eggs but in fact they have not laid. It is thought that if
you put false eggs under the pair, they will sit on them until the hatching
time and this may start the regular cycle of laying eggs. Chicken
fanciers may not want to raise any more peeps and when a hen goes
broody and will not leave the nest, the eggs are removed and replace
with false eggs. Cage bird fanciers use them for the same reasons.
Some fanciers like the wood and others prefer the plastic, where possible,

Install perches, when at all possible, all on one wall, the droppings are easier
to clean up because most are concentrated under the perches. Perches,
in most cases are 11-12 inches apart top to bottom and side by side. When
you get to a corner, keep the perch 18” away from the walls, many times,
pigeons will build a nest in a corner and by keeping the nest away from the
corner, the eggs will not have droppings falling on the nest.

Bath Salts by Foy's
Birds love to take a bath, so take advantage of this
love by using Foy’s Bath Salts in the bath water. Bath
salts will clean the feathers and help rid the birds of
parasites. Add a heaping tablespoon to 3 or 4 gallons
of bath water. For silky, smooth feathers. Safe if the
birds drink.

Large Bath Pan with Drain

benefit of having a drain plug. When
you fill a bath pan, it is easy, but when
you want to throw the bath water out,
it is rather heavy. With this pan, pull the
plug and it drains out. Pigeons just love
baths and willingly jump right in, no matter the weather, even on a
sunny day in the winter. Add pigeon bath salts and your birds are
cleaning their feathers and helping to eliminate parasites as well. This

Super Cage Bird Perch
A European designed perch meant for the large
flock breeder that keeps his birds in a walk in loft
or aviary. This attractive perch is an all heavy duty plastic
perch that is very easy to install to any wall surface.
The three mounting holes are designed to allow you to
remove it from the wall, for cleaning, with out the use
of a tool or removing your mounting screws. This perch may also be
very useful in a loft on small doves, All one piece in an attractive beige
color, the perch rod is 2 1/2" long and grooved for better gripping. The
