Levi's Basket
I attended the National
Poultry Show in Columbus,
Ohio and noticed a basket that many exhibitors
were using. I brought one of them
home and had John, our Amish craftsman
make one with what we feel are a few
small improvements. This basket is ideal
for poultry, but it is also ideal for some of
the larger, tall breeds of pigeons. Available in 4, 5, or 6 bird baskets.
Each compartment is 5" wide x 12 3/4" x 11 1/2" high. Completely
sanded to eliminate sharp edges and each compartment has 3/8"
dowels in the front, 5 1/2" high. Each compartment has a sliding door
and all may be locked using the 1/4" dowel. All 3 sizes are 13" high
and 14 3/4" front to back. The 4 bird is 26" long, the 5 bird is 32" long
and the 6 bird is 38" long. A beautiful, Amish made basket in natural
wood. You may want to stain one and cover with Polyurethane for a
gorgeous basket. Add a brass plate with your name or loft name and

Moses' Basket
This basket is offered
based on inquiries to
the availability of a basket that will
accommodate larger breeds. The
Mose's basket is designed exactly
like Levi's Basket with the exception
of the width of the compartments.
Each compartment is a full 6 inches.
They are made in our own shop and crafted by the Amish man, John
Raber, who manufactures all of our wood products. Top quality, sanded
for quality and designed for the specific need of large bird breeder.
Read the description of Levi's Basket for all the information you might
need, and the measurement's are the same except the width of the
compartments, which makes the Mose's Baskets a few inches longer.
Add a brass plate with your name, or the loft name and phone number
for an additional $7.00. The 4 bird is 13 1/4" high X 14 3/4" front to
back and 30" left to right. The 5 bird is the same as the 4 bird except
it is 37" long and the 6 bird is 44" long.

Carl’s Basket
Handmade, non-collapsible basket
constructed with triangle corner
gussets for superior strength. Top loading
door and a drop down release door. A unique
feature is a rear drop down door to allow the
birds to eat and drink using coop cups attached to the doweled access.
Each basket is trimmed with beautiful oak trim. We use lightweight,
strong nylon mesh covering which allows excellent ventilation.
14 x 24 x 10 for 15 bird size and 16 x 30 x 10 for 20 bird size. Add

Samantha's Premium Basket
Factory precise and a real quality
basket. Quality features
include a bumper on the bottom, at
the corners. These bumpers will not
scratch a surface and they keep the
basket up from the floor. Corner protectors
which add to the overall attractiveness
of the basket, as well as
added strength. The corner protectors
are on the top corners as well as
the bottom corners. Large vent holes on three sides that offer the
pigeons lots of air circulation. The release door in the front is hinged
and includes a vent hole that also serves as a finger hole which may
be used to drop the door down , if needed. The heavy duty carrying
handle folds down. Top dowels are 3/8”, larger than most other wood
baskets. To place pigeons to the basket, the door on the top opens
easily due to the steel hinge and folds across the center of the basket,
unlike all other baskets that swing up length ways. The door is locked
in place when closed, using an oversized plastic turn button. The center
support of the basket is 1 ¾” wide for added strength, as all the
weight with the pigeons in the basket, takes the brunt of this weight
and it needs the extra width. The wood basket is fine as it is, but we
suggest you paint it to protect the wood and added beauty. Varnishing
the basket makes it a real gem.

A unique, handy basket for when you
want to carry just a few birds or perhaps
as a racing pigeon fancier, you want to
train just a few birds. The basket is 16 3/4"
x 16 3/4" and is 9 1/2" high. The sides are a
mesh material which offers nearly 100% ventilation
as well as being strong and tear resistant. A drop-down door
allows you to release all the birds at the same time. The top is doweled
and includes a flip-top door to allow you to load the basket or
if in the case of training your racers, you can release one at a time.
Four bottom rubber buttons to help protect surfaces from scratching
and the carrying handle folds down. Holds 6 to 8 birds. Add a brass

BASKETS - When purchasing a basket that is wood, or wood framed, I
strongly suggest you paint the wood, or better yet, stain it. Most of the
wood used to construct baskets is a pine, and this type of wood is not
meant to be exposed to the rain and sun. Painting or staining shows
pride in your basket, and it so much easier to paint or stain brand new
baskets. If your current basket is looking a bit ratty, you may want to
consider refurbishing it. We offer metal turn buttons for the drop down
doors, new plastic buttons for the lift up wood doors, new heavy duty
fold down handles and all new canvas in different colors and if the
sizes offered do not match your basket, contact us and we will make
a piece to fit your needs. Adding a new brass name plate also dresses
up the basket and leaves no doubt as to who owns the basket.
