One compensation claim was for £1,500, another was for £1,411 and he was ordered to pay
£2,327 to the victims whose cars he had caused less than £5,000 worth of damage to.
The judge also imposed a restraining order banning the defendant from contacting his
George Burr George Burr as he left Chelmsford Magistrates' Court
Burr, from Chelmsford, was spared jail after uploading indecent images of a teenage girl
onto a pornographic website.
The 25-year-old shared eight photographs of the victim between January and March last
year with a number of pictures taken while she was under the age of 18.
However, the victim only realised the nude selfies were being circulated after receiving a
message from someone who stumbled across them.
Burr had pleaded guilty in December when he came before Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court
to disclosing private sexual photographs and distributing an indecent photograph.
The judge, who presided over the sentencing on January 10, said: “You pleaded guilty to
both offences at the earliest possible opportunity and I will give you credit for doing so.
“You put, for reasons that I cannot understand, those images on the internet.
“It was some form of revenge or some way to get what you wanted.”
Although the judge acknowledged that the images had been removed from a number of
websites, he expressed concern for the victim that her photos may still be online on
undiscovered sites.
Burr was sentenced to 26 weeks’ imprisonment for both offences, to run concurrently, but
suspended for 18 months.
He was also ordered to carry out 30 rehabilitative activity days within the next 18 months, as
well as completing 150 hours unpaid work.
Burr, who must also pay £85 in prosecution costs as well as a £115 victim surcharge, was
made subject of a restraining order whereby he is not to contact his victim either directly or
indirectly.
Steven Reeves Reeves hid his face as he left Chelmsford Crown Court
Dad-of-two Reeves avoided jail after watching bestiality involving snakes, fish, pigs, dogs
and horses as part of a vast collection of 4,500 indecent images and videos.
The 52-year-old, from Southcliffe Park in Clacton, was charged with five separate counts
including making indecent images of a child and possessing extreme pornographic images.
Police received information that indecent images of children had been downloaded and
accessed from a device within the workplace of BT Exchange in Holland Road, Clacton,
between November 2016 and April 2017.
While investigating they discovered the defendant, who worked at BT exchange, was in the
building at the time the device was in use.
A number of Reeves’ items were seized and when he was interviewed at Clacton police
station he made “full and frank” admissions that he deliberately downloaded the indecent
images and movies of children.
Prosecuting lawyer, Raj Joshi, told the court: “To put it mildly, some of the material was not
only extreme as far as the bestiality images are concerned, but also as far as children are
concerned. One involved a small child aged one to two years old."
Sparing him jail, Judge Patricia Lynch QC told Reeves: "People like yourselves who
download and watch this material of children forget that they are real children, real children
who are forced to endure demeaning and horrific experiences and they grow up knowing
people such as yourself are watching it.
"Children deserve our protection not our abuse.”
Reeves was sentenced to two years in prison, suspended for two years, and he was also
given a sexual harm prevention order to last ten years.
