Macau is a hybrid city that brings together<br />
the cultures of both the East and the West. It is<br />
comprised of Macau, Taipa and Coloane islands.<br />
The Portuguese have settled in Macau for more<br />
than 400 years and this is why the architecture<br />
is a mix between Chinese and Portuguese style.<br />
Senado Square, the center for celebrations<br />
and shopping excursions, is surrounded by<br />
neo-classical pastel-colored buildings. One is<br />
the Leal Senado, Macau’s Municipalty Office.<br />
Apart from its beautiful exterior, its back garden<br />
and tiled decorations are just as classic.<br />
The remains of St.Paul’s Cathedral’s doors are<br />
also a sight. Formerly an important cathedral,<br />
a fire had consumed the building and left only<br />
the front wall standing. However, even today<br />
it continues to serve as an altar for people to<br />
come and experience the greatness it once<br />
was. On the way up to the cathedral stands a<br />
MOD Design Store, a souvenir shop filled with<br />
designs by artists from Macau and around the<br />
world. Just a quick look around the shop can<br />
easily fill you with inspiration.<br />

ออกและตะวันตกไว้ด้วยกัน โดยประกอบไปด้วยฝั่งมา-<br />
เก๊า เกาะไทปาและเกาะโคโลอาน ด้วยเวลายาวนานกว่า<br />
400 ปีที ่ชาวโปรตุเกสได้เข้ามาตั ้งรกรากในมาเก๊า จึง<br />
ส่งผลให้เกิดสถาปัตยกรรมผสมผสานระหว่างจีนกับ<br />
โปรตุเกส จะเห็นได้จากจัตุรัสเซนาโด สถานที ่จัดงาน<br />
เฉลิมฉลองและแหล่งช้อปปิ ้งหลักซึ ่งรายล้อมไปด้วย<br />
อาคารนีโอคลาสสิคสีพาสเทล รวมถึงอาคารลีล เซนาโด้<br />
สำานักงานเทศบาลของมาเก๊าที่นอกจากตัวอาคารสวย<br />
สวนด้านหลังและการตกแต่งด้วยกระเบื้องยังคลาสสิก<br />
ไม่แพ้กัน เช่นเดียวกับศิลปะของซากประตูโบสถ์เซนต์<br />
ปอล ซึ่งแม้จะถูกไฟไหม้จนเหลือแต่ผนังหน้าประตูโบสถ์<br />
แต่ในปัจจุบันก็ยังคงทำาหน้าที่เป็นสัญลักษณ์ของแท่น<br />
บูชาเพื่อให้ผู้คนได้มาสัมผัสความยิ่งใหญ่ในอดีต<br />
แอบแซบสะดุดตาตรงบันไดทางขึ้นคือ MOD Design<br />
Store ร้านขายของที่ระลึกมีดีไซน์จากศิลปินมาเก๊าและ<br />
ทั่วโลก แค่เดินเมียงมองในร้านก็ได้แรงบันดาลใจกลับ<br />
มาอย่างมากล้น<br />
มาเก๊ายังเป็นเมืองประวัติศาสตร์ที่เต็มไปด้วยวัดจีน<br />
โบสถ์และสถานที่ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ทั้งหลาย ผู้มาเยือนมักต้อง<br />
แวะไหว้พระขอพรที ่วัดอาม่า วัดเก่าแก่ที ่รวมเอาลัทธิ<br />
ขงจื ้อ ลัทธิเต๋า พุทธศาสนาและความเชื ่อพื ้นบ้านไว้<br />
อย่างเต็มไปด้วยศรัทธา โบสถ์เซนต์โดมินิก ถูกสร้างขึ้น<br />
