INTERVIEW According to Economic Handbook analyzes, most of the indexes point to a significant recovery, there are indications that, in 2018, this change will have a much greater impact on the labor market. You have made some trips abroad in contact with companies and development agencies. How has this experience been? In your opinion, how do international stakeholders see Guarulhos? Guarulhos needs action to develop a revolutionary ecosystem by utilizing what the city has as a potential: it has the fourth largest Gross Domestic Product MAYOR’S PROFILE Gustavo Henric Costa - Mayor “Guti”. Age: 32 years old (December 30, 1984) Education: Graduated in Law from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado - FAAP and postgraduate in Administrative Law from PUC, with emphasis on Public Management and Bids. Heart’s Team: Portuguesa. (GDP) in the state and the 13th largest in the country, the International Airport and various segments industries. A subject that was very much emphasized and attracted the attention of the businessmen, in China as in the United States, is the fact that Guarulhos is accessible in several aspects. It has the advantage of holding important highways, the Airport and is relatively close to Porto de Santos. I believe that it is necessary to turn our attention to the industries that make use of our geography and keep dialogues with local suppliers, with the mission to advance in smartness and to increase the market competitiveness. Such planning should consist of large companies, research centers, startups focused on innovation, investment funds and reduction of paper work. We will invest in regions that are fundamental to the city’s growth, such as Bonsucesso and Cumbica, for example, and we have the idea of creating a Technology Park, with the purpose of serving as an embryo and catalyst for knowledge, generating better salaries and quality of life. Guti, is a member of the Partido Socialista Brasileiro (PSB) and mayor of Guarulhos during the 2017-2020 term. He was elected with 83.50% of the valid votes in the second round, obtaining a record percentage in the country in that election. He was the city councilor for two terms from 2008 to 2016. He is vice-president of the Consórcio de Desenvolvimento dos Municípios do Alto Tietê (Condemat) and vice-president of Cidades Aeroportuárias da Frente Nacional de Prefeitos (FNP). Passionate about cultural activities, mainly theater and cinema. From an early age he is involved in politics, participating in the elections of the College Academic Directory. “From childhood I realized that I liked to do good, to positively influence the lives of others.
