City Hall launches
Economic Handbook of Guarulhos
City Hall of Guarulhos, through the Department of
Scientific, Economic, Technological Development and
Innovation (SDCETI), in the course of 2017 published
three editions of the Economic Handbook of Guarulhos.
This publication traces the scenario of the city’s economy,
addressing numbers of foreign trade, labor market,
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and value added,
which helps the entrepreneur to better interpret the
potential and opportunities that Guarulhos offers.
The Economic Handbook of Guarulhos is a quarterly
publication and provides data on labor market,
foreign trade, public finances and a compilation of
the main economic indicators of the country. The
handbook’s launch is part of the actions planned by the
Compete Guarulhos program, whose main objective
is to contribute to strengthening the competitiveness
of Guarulhos companies, mainly preparing them for
international trade.
The publication disseminates important data so that
local business and government can direct their decisions.
In each new publication is organized a launching
ceremony with the participation of the mayor, secretaries
and businessmen of the city. “The numbers of the
Economic Handbook are real, transparent and serve as a
guide for those who want to invest in our county. We are
working to create an even more favorable environment
for investment in the city, “said Mayor Guti during one
of the launch events.
