Tchaikovsky, Mascagni, as well as popular works such<br />
as Yesterday, The Beatles, Love of My Life, Queen, and<br />
Luiza, by Antonio Carlos Jobim.<br />
Satisfied to participate in this great concert in the<br />
city, maestro João Carlos emphasized his posture as an<br />
enthusiast of Brazilian erudite music and his commitment<br />
to the dissemination of this art to audiences around<br />
the world. Hours before the concert the maestro visited<br />
Cemear, which works next to Secel headquarters to meet<br />
some of the Conservatório Municipal de <strong>Guarulhos</strong><br />
music projects, such as the Música do Silêncio project.<br />
Under the coordination of maestro Fabio Bonvenuto,<br />
the musical training initiative serves a public from the<br />
age of 12, including young people with disabilities.<br />
Maestro João Carlos Martins was surprised with<br />
an exclusive presentation and deeply moved. He<br />
encouraged young people to continue their musical<br />
professionalization: “We need more initiatives like<br />
this, teachers, students and their families are to be<br />
congratulated,” praised Martins.<br />
