HMU inaugurates new emergency
and doubles service capacity.
In November 2017, the Guarulhos’ municipal
administration inaugurated the new emergency sector
of the Hospital Municipal de Urgências de Guarulhos
(HMU). In addition to doubling the service capacity,
the new ward contemplates everything that is most
modern in terms of medicine in care of serious patients.
With the remodeling, the number of emergency wing
beds jumped from 30 to 45.
The sector still gained new furniture, wide reception;
orthopedic office; medical comfort; rest environment
for nursing; rooms for medication, inhalation therapy,
electrocardiogram and suture; ward of belongings for
patients; anger prophylaxis service with reception room;
and specific space for the packaging of stretchers, which
before were scattered in the corridors.
