Guarulhos joins
Via Rápida program
The city of Guarulhos joined this year to ‘Via Rápida
Empresa’ program of the São Paulo government, which
allows the entrepreneur to open a company totally
through the internet, with faster and easier licensing.
Prior to joining the program, Guarulhos took
approximately 120 days to open a business, now these
openings can be in just 48 hours in some cases, such as
low risk companies whose activity has no negative impact
on transportation, environment, urban development,
among other areas.
With the implementation of the Via Rápida Empresa,
entrepreneurs who intend to or have already installed
their activities in the county can fully legalize their
companies in an agile way and without red tape. At
the same time, with the measure, City Hall intends to
reduce companies informality, attract new undertakings
and increase the income. The opening or alteration of
companies by the São Paulo Board of Trade (Jucesp)
will begin to receive previous analysis of soil use and
occupation feasibility, carried out directly by the county
within the system, in up to 48 hours. Companies already
incorporated, working with low-risk activities, may
obtain a business license within a maximum period of
24 hours.
The procedures for companies that work with high
risk activities, especially industries, will be simplified
and streamlined.
