We welcome your call and will take care of everything for you. neglected peace garden restored On the hottest Saturday of the year, about 60 local people celebrated the restoration of Seaford Peace Garden, by listening to Norman Baker and Duncan Campbell singing and playing gentle music. The handful of nonagenarians attending were given priority in the limited shade available. The garden, owned by Seaford Town Council, and established by local Quakers, was opened by Sheila Hancock in 2011. Unfortunately, it soon became neglected and required extensive renovation and replenishment. With the support of Tony Jackson (Seaford Projects and Facilities Manager) and Neale Gould (Burleys), designer Lindsay Thomas led a group of local volunteers who worked hard during the autumn and winter to restore the garden. All were thanked for their efforts. It is hoped that its present state of colour and beauty will be maintained with the will and determination of the Council, Burleys, engaged local volunteers and, of course, the people of Seaford. If you have yet to visit this tranquil horticultural gem, you will find it next to the Community Garden in the Crouch.
